You have 2 fuses, one under the hood fuse #46 and one under the dash fuse L, both are 10A, if they are both good replace your control panel.

SOURCE: 2002 Alero defogger

A common thing to fial on these- assumning the grid is ok, and wires are still attched to grid, is the rear def / antenna module. It is behind rt. rear quarter trim panel. The modules burn up, and also melt the connector. the module and connector would need to be replaced.

SOURCE: Air Conditioning Problem

What type of smell is it? maybe the belt is slipping on the compressor pulley due to the clutch field shorting out, also check the 10 amp fuse for the A/C in the fuse box under the hood and see if it's blown, that will cause the car to run hot if the fans are not working properly.

Relay 1 passenger fuse box

Does the heater work ? blower motor pushes air out of the vent's ? A/C compressor doesn't engage ? I'm try to figure out what you have going on there . completely dead on dash panel ? Two fuse in the central junction box F2.14 10 amp an F2.20 10 amp these power the climate control panel . Relay one has nothing to do with it . If the fuse's are good you need a new control panel .

I have a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero and the heater isn't working. The fan is not blowing out any air. Any suggestions ?

Check all your fuses. If all fuses are ok, then check power at the blower motor and ground at the blower motor. If ground and power are present then replace the bower motor if not check the relay and blower motor resistor.

Air Conditioning Problem

Check your fan. You have air flow problems. If you don't have a fan clutch look at the electrical fan problems.
