2003 Honda VT 750 C2 Shadow carburetor adjustment

Let's focus on adjusting the air/fuel mixture. This adjustment can help balance the fuel-to-air ratio for both cylinders. Here are the steps you can follow: Idle Screw (Air/Fuel Mix): The idle screw, also known as the pilot screw, adjusts the air/fuel mixture at idle. It affects the fuel flow from the pilot jets (idle jets) into the carburetors. Locate the idle screw on your carburetor. It's usually a small black knob near the choke. Turn the idle screw to achieve the desired idle speed. Listen to how the bike sounds while adjusting it. Note: Adjusting the idle screw shouldn't significantly affect the mixture setting. Pilot Screw (Idle Mixture): The pilot screw (idle mixture screw) fine-tunes the air/fuel mixture from idle rpm up to about 1/8th throttle. To access the pilot screws, you may need to remove the air box and carb side cover. The factory default setting for the pilot screws is typically 2.5 turns out. Carefully screw each one in until it lightly seats closed, and then count the number of turns. You can adjust the pilot screws to make the mixture richer (more turns out) or leaner (less than 2.5 turns). Dual Carburetor Sync: Since your bike has dual carburetors, it's essential to ensure they are synchronized. Use a vacuum gauge set to synchronize the carbs. Adjust the linkage screw until both throttle butterflies are in the same position for idle2. Synchronization helps maintain consistent performance between the front and rear cylinders. Check Rear Cylinder Idle: If the rear cylinder isn't running correctly at idle, it could be due to a partially plugged idle jet. Consider cleaning the carburetors if needed. While it can be a bit of work, it's essential for proper performance. If the issue persists, consult a mechanic or consider opening up the carburetor for a thorough inspection. Remember to take your time and make gradual adjustments. If you're unsure, consult your bike's service manual or seek professional assistance. This is a combo unit. Confirm the disc is playable. The problem may not be in the machine. Check that the power plug is firmly inserted. I have provided links to manuals for the machine. If the troubleshooting therein fails, the remaining option appears to be contacting the manufacturer. Such details should be in the manuals. My brother vuka xl 110 there is a small hole on the head .wish I can post a picture also to say what I am taking about .I want to know will oil spill out the hole that is in the casing of the head .

Yes, It will leak oil. How much will depend where the hole is. When the engine is running the oil is a pressurised system so it won't be supplying enough oil the the moving parts of the engine. Take a photo with your phone and there is a button on the bottom of the comment box. Use that to add photos. As a general rule If the cylinder head has ANY damage like holes and cracks Replace it. A cylinder head is cheaper than a replacement engine or a bike.

Were do the fuel lines go to on a mountop 150cc

This particular unit has a typical GY6-style engine with a fuel line designated from the gas tank to the carburetor distinguished by an in-line cylindrical fuel filter located near the center of the line. Best to locate the carburetor distinguished by the location of the air filter, there should be a hose going from that unit up into the gas tank. Ideally, remove the gas tank entirely and it should reveal the gasoline lines directly to the carburetor. The photo shows the fuel line/filter indicated in red, and the location of the carburetor within the blue indicator. carbfuellocation-undefined-undefined-0.png

I'm trying to find a Top end rebuild kit for a 2010 Qlink Front Runner 500 for carb. Everything listed appears to be EFI. HELP please.

The good news is that there are rebuild kits available specifically for carbureted engines. To ensure compatibility, I recommend checking if there's a rebuild tag on your carburetor. This thin metal tag is often held by one of the small screws that connect the top and bottom halves of the carburetor. It contains essential information about the carburetor model. If the rebuild tag is missing, you can try looking up the kit using the number stamped into the side of the carb body. Alternatively, provide the make and model details to your parts supplier-they should be able to assist you. Carburetor Rebuild Kits: While most listings might focus on EFI, there are still options available for carbureted engines. Consider searching for a custom carburetor rebuild kit specifically designed for your 2010 Qlink Front Runner 500. These kits include components needed for a top-end rebuild. One such option is the QLink Front Runner FR 500 UTV 4x4 Custom Carburetor Carb Stage 1-3 Jet Kit available on Amazon. It offers increased performance, faster throttle response, and stops lean exhaust popping. Remember to double-check the compatibility and specifications before making a purchase.

Cleaned my carburetors and the Jets and now my bike won't start. I have a spark but it won't start.

All questions need FULL 'year make model', as the first 3 words. Then there are 10,000 categories listed by 'make year model'. So we are working blind. Make sure gasoline is being delivered to the carbs by removing the fuel delivery pipe. Carbs come in different systems. If it has a float bowl on the bottom, tap it with the handle of a screwdriver as it may be stuck. Turn the engine over. If it doesn't start, remove the spark plug and see if it is wet with gas? You need three things for an engine to start Clean gas A spark at the right time Compression You have one thing missing //

Bajaj XCD 125 valve clearance please?

Should be the same as Honda 125 What is the valve clearance of a 125? The intake valve clearance should be 0.08mm (0.003 in) and the exhaust valve clearance should be 0.12mm (0.005 in). There should be a slight resistance as you slide the feeler gauge between the adjusting screw and the top of the valve stem. If there is no resistance the clearance is too large. This actually says on Bajaj CT100 doesn't tell you and suggests 0.007mm. https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motorbikes/203868-diy-setting-tappet-clearance-motorcycle-bajaj-ct100b.html https://www.google.com/search?q=bajaj+xcd+125+valve+clearance They could put it here! https://www.bajajauto.com/images/maintainance/XCD_125dtsi.pdf Service Manual, says Free, but doesn't like my Ad Blocker! https://www.google.com/search?q=bajaj+xcd+125+service+manual+pdf+free+download ..
