You have not mentioned the TV model #.. If your TV does not play avi. files I am sorry to tell you it does not support moving pictures -- it only supports MP3 music files and JPEG picture files !!. Try these two to confirm.

Usb connection, how do I set up and configue to transfer videos to my tv via usb connection ?

You have to be specific first about what model your phone and TV is.

But to get you started, your TV has to be able to support casting. Typically almost every Smart TV is capable of this. But if your TV isn't one, I suggest you buy a Chromecast or Miracast and hook it up to your TV via HDMI, and just follow the instructions shown on the screen once you hooked it up.

HOW DO I USE THE USB PORT TO PLAY MOVIES

Some TV models have a USB port so that users could play videos and movies from USB on TV. You can try the following steps:

1. Connect your readable and writable USB drive to computer
2. Copy your movies to USB drive and then disconnect your USB drive from computer.
3. Connect the USB device to the Sony TV USB port. Turn on the connected USB device if necessary.
4. Press the HOME button on Sony remote controller to open the menu.
5. Enter the target USD drive.
6. Select the file you want to play back, and then press the play button to start playing movies on TV via USB drive.
It's quite easy to play movies from USB on smart TV devices.

Xan i plug a usb cord into computer to the tv an have make a movie play from computer usb

Hi.

In short the answer is no. If your computer has an HDMI port then you can connect it to the TV. If the TV supports a PC (VGA) connection then again you can but you will need a seperate audio lead to go with that.
You cannot stream audio/video via USB from the computer.

Regards.

Cant see dvds on my emerson tv

Hello.

In many cases by connecting the DVD via a scart cable (depending in what country you live in if your system supports it)
the dvd will send a signal to the TV to switch over to RGB mode when you start playing the dvd. Rember to make sure the scart connectors are firmly pressed into their sockets on both tv and dvd.

Also if you found out how to switch channels directly on the TV try to go through them ...you might find the AV channel that will show the picture from your dvd.

Hope this will help you.

Good Luck.
