You probably already realize that your system needs maintenance, but this symptom is typical of a system that needs cleaning.

My unit (just all of a sudden) will not turn on by

Check the power supply and all the capacitors throughout the unit, i have found that this is normally the case when an item will not power on and is displaying red LEDS. Good Luck.

Please help!!! Problem with JVC DLP TV

You need to replace the power supply board. The new ones have a bigger heat sink - obviously JVC knows about the problem because they made the new ones bigger. It cost $250 from JVC and I installed it myself - took about 3 hours to do. If you are not tech savvy call a repairman. Hope this helps.

Can't get DVD/VHS player to work.

This is a link to JVC's download for the DR-MV5SU (you typed MVSSU, which I'm guessing is just a typo):

Not operating

Check power supply capacitors.
Check capacitors for leakage or swelling.
Check voltages on drives +5 and +12
I can't tell you whether hard drive is faulty or not.

ok, this same problem happened to many other jvc dr-xxxx s, i think the only answer to this would be to get it serviced or just chuck it out. the cause for the annoying "loading" blinking light is a blown out capacitator, inside the machine itself i recomend u to not try to fix it d.i.y.
