Hi. I believe you are referring to a Minn Kota with i-Pilot GPS? If you forget to turn the power button off and the motor was not running (meaning the prop was not turning), your motor should be fine. Ultimately, if left on for long enough, it will drain the batteries and eventually turn off. This is not harmful for the motor. Then two Deep Cycle Gel Batteries, one for the marine electronics, fish finder etc, and another that powers the front bow mounted Trolling motor. You will find them in the deck lockers.
