It's not that old, did you ask them direct? Servicing is their responsibility normally for at least 10 years. I can't find a battery with three wires either. The Garmin watches have a circular wired battery but only 2 wires.

Just fixed mine. While plugged in, depress all the buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. It should turn on and show that it is charging. The ticking will stop as well.

Can’t get rid of the hour glass with some type of half circle with an arrow at the top on the left side of hour glass. This is the Ironman 30 lap. Back plate # 170

It is possible that either that the movement of the watch is not aligned properly after a battery replacement.

got a new battery in ironman and the beep will not sound when i press the start and end button on while in stopwatch mode
